This partial apartment renovation in Eixample Dreta, Barcelona updated a 95 m² property in a 1920s Modernista building near Carrer de Provença. The apartment sits on the second floor. It has a south-facing façade with large street-facing windows and good natural light throughout the day. While previous work had removed most original features, the layout was solid and the apartment had strong bones.

Scope of Work

The renovation covered the kitchen and both bathrooms in full. In the living areas and bedrooms, we replaced the flooring, replastered the walls, and updated the lighting. The structural layout remained unchanged throughout.

Materials and Finishes

We replaced all existing flooring with large-format light concrete-look porcelain tiles in an 80 × 80 cm format. The warm pale grey tone creates visual continuity across every room. In the bathroom, we used white microcement throughout for a clean, seamless finish.

The kitchen features lacquered white flat-panel cabinetry with integrated handles and a light grey quartz worktop. Matte black tapware and fittings serve as a single deliberate accent throughout. Walls are finished in smooth plaster painted in a warm light grey, which ties the spaces together without adding visual noise.

Character

This apartment renovation in Eixample Dreta has a clean, urban quality. It is more contemporary and efficient than a period restoration. In addition, it appeals to buyers and tenants who value simplicity, precision, and low maintenance over decorative complexity. The finish level is Premium: well-resolved, immediately functional, and clearly positioned.
